For centuries humanity has wondered how the world came into existence and how and why it is that there is so much suffering in this world. Many sought the cause of beings or gods existing outside of humanity while the Torah focuses on just one God Who would be the Cause of everything.
By the different peoples of the world we can find very similar myths in an effort to explain the beginning, of everything from nothing, by a divine intelligence or a Source of life.
About the origin or source of evil there are many discussions. In this article I look at the time where badness entered in the world of man and where we have to look for the source of evil or badness.
God made Himself a beautiful Royal Garden, the Gan Eden with in the midst of it a Etz HaDa'as Tov v'Rah or Tree of moral of which God asked man not to touch it nor eat from the fruit that gives knowledge about good and evil because they would then certainly die. But we come to see that the nachash (temptation) was to strong for the isha and she got her husband involved in her act of disobedience to the Elohim.
Created in the image of God has every human being some elements or characteristics of the Elohim and has each individual the task to try to get all their characteristics in line with those of the Most High.
