A Tool to shed light over the qualities in our life 1 Inner feelings

Created in the image of God has every human being some elements or characteristics of the Elohim and has each individual the task to try to get all their characteristics in line with those of the Most High.

As fallible human beings it is not bad to have some tools at hand to help us to remember certain things we may not forget. Such handy tools may give us reminders or alerts or even shed light on our way we want to try to work things out.

The Most High Elohim has given mankind enough time to work out how it can restore the relationship with God and His creatures. To help us the Divine Creator, Who created us in His image, did not only provide an inner feeling or instinct (the natural tendency to behave or react in a particular way) in us, so that we could know or feel which way to go or what to choose for. Since the first man and mannin ate from the fruit of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil, man has no excuse for so called not knowing what is just or right or what is wrong or amiss. The knowledge of good and evil came over mankind by the rebellion of the first human beings.

As any good Father, God also had to bring punishment over those wrongdoers and sent them out of the Garden of Eden. From a lovely world where they could have lived for ever in peace, they entered a dark or grim world where they had to work hard to stand up.

As a loving Father He did not leave His creatures on their own but provided Guidance by His Word and always kept an eye on them. To make sure that they would again have no excuse He also gave mankind His Law.  That Torah or Written Law should be our guide. We should follow those instructions and listen carefully to those Words of God which can transform us.

Judaism teaches that God continues His interest in everything that happens in the universe. With the exception of free moral choice, which God has delegated to us, everything that occurs in the universe is of Divine origin, although He may operate through the vehicle of the physical laws of nature.

As creations of the Most High Divine Creator, we should come to consider Him as our Father and should live up to His expectations. Like we do have to build up a good relationship with our worldly parents we also do have to maintain our relationship to God, to a Father Who not only begot us, but remains involved in our lives.

Some people, like Muslims have a wrong idea about begetting or to beget. To beget something means to cause it to happen or be created. Many take to beget to mean

To produce (offspring) by sexual reproduction. Used especially of a man. {Free Dictionary on Beget}

and forget its many other meanings, like to cause, bring, producegenerate, to induce, or to bring about. the heavenly Father created and as such brought in effect, provoking beings to live on the globe and to give rise to the human race. Precipitating, inciting or engendering male and female beings populating the earth and living life.

That living life by the fall of man comes now to and end for every person at an other time. It’s not over until it’s over. As long as you are alive, you have the opportunity to work at your own personality and to do more and to work on it to be more.

As you perhaps might know, your own self-image is based on what has already happened in your life, what you have already done, and how you have already acted. As long as you are alive, you can choose thoughts, words, and actions that will greatly elevate your self- image.

You might complain about your self-image because you view your current self-image as a final reality. It isn’t. We human beings are works in progress as long as we are alive. If you aren’t satisfied with your self-image right now, say and do things that will raise your self-image.

Our Creator expect us to work at our self, though many christians do believe they do not have to work any more at themselves because Christ would have died for their sins, and as such they think being saved they are free from any work and whatever sin they might do, they are forgiven. Sorry for them who believe such thing. It might well be that they shall miss the entrance to the Kingdom of God.

The Most High presented mankind His Word for a very good reason, that man would listen to it and take it into account. The given Word of God has imperative verbs, which means they are commands, not suggestions, not good ideas, not just helpful hints, but things we should take at heart and even take serious. We should see that throughout the ages God has given many mitzvah, precepts we should not ignore. We should recognise them as orders which God gave to mankind to follow.

By reading the Bible regularly we can come to understand and see ways how to “rejoice” and “not to be anxious”, but “letting our mind dwell” and “practice”.

From there onwards we also can put a reminder in our house for working at our characteristics, which shall have us think about all the matters God wants to see in us.

Reading to grow and to become wise concerning the most important thing in life 4 Words giving us wisdom and encouragement

With the Holy Scriptures we are given words that should have us to come to reflect on our own life and that of others, learning from the lessons given in that library of books.

In the various books which make the Bible you may find the words written down by men of God by whom Jehovah put forth His hand, gave them to see and understand, and put His words in their mouth, setting them over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.

The assembly of 66 books which form the most important library for life demonstrate the good and bad of man, even of the chosen ones of God. Nothing is being hid for our eyes.

(KJV) 1631 Holy Bible, Robert Barker/John Bill...
(KJV) 1631 Holy Bible, Robert Barker/John Bill, London. King James Version (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

We are told that we are just sojourners here on this globe and that we do have to find ways to live with each other in peace. That peace is not something easy is also clearly shown. The many books show how even men of God had to encounter many difficulties and often had a very dangerous life. We are told of men who had to deal with wars and diplomatic difficulties and how they in their tumultuous life did not choose for the ways of the world but the ways of God. We are shown their inner feelings, their jealousy and their wants, which were not always kosher.

They are all examples of whom we should learn. Reading sacred books or the Bible we should take time to think about the read material and let it sink in us to become the beginning of a rich source.

“Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
(Proverbs 4:5–7 KJV)

Those words given to mankind should have us to come to reflect on our own life and that of others. We should learn not to swerve from the words and have come to see that those people who have departed from them may think they are lucky man, but are really missing the most important thing in life. Many people have turned aside or be turned aside abruptly from a straight path because they did not have any need to learn the truth.

From those ancient writings we also can see that many people had to learn the hard way, but in the end came to see that the wisdom which comes form God is supreme. By coming to read the Holy Scriptures you shall be able to get wisdom. Even when many may be against your Bible reading and Bible study, some even making you are not receiving certain positions in life, you should know that though it may costs all your possessions when getting understanding, God has something for you at the end of the race.

We also should remember that by going deeper into the Word of God you shall get more and more satisfaction of life, getting a feel of glow of contentment and peacefulness. By finding precious wisdom you shall receive happiness and you shall come to understand that the man who gets understanding, for her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return shall be better than fine gold.

“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.”
(Proverbs 3:13–14 KJV)

“For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”
(Proverbs 8:11 KJV)

In the world we find many so called religious people who have made themselves gods and use pictures of them in their services. Be it sculptures of persons or objects like crosses of fishes, those people have given preference to give their ear to human doctrines instead of Biblical doctrines. Some of them came to worship elements of nature (plants, animals or even natural phenomena.

They have forgotten what the Divine Maker of everything demanded of His creation.

“You are not to make yourself a carved-image or any figure that is in the heavens above, that is on the earth beneath, that is in the waters beneath the earth; you are not to bow down to them, you are not to serve them, for I, YHWH your God, am a jealous God, calling-to-account the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons, to the third and the fourth (generation) of those that hate me,”
(Exodus 20:4–5 SB)

“Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.”
(Jeremiah 10:14 KJV)

“Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:”
(Isaiah 2:8 KJV)

All people should know that God is a Spirit who can and may not be presented with any graven image.

“Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.”
(Acts 17:29 KJV)

Never has any man seen God, because man can not see God and live.

“No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.”
(1 John 4:12 KJV)

“But he said: You cannot see my face, for no human can see me and live!”
(Exodus 33:20 SB)

Though we can not see God, does not mean we can not hear Him. He has given us His Voice and has sent several men who did not have their eyes on the many things they could see and others wanted so much to have, but directed their heart and soul to the unseen.

“Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:14–18 KJV)

Into those sent ones the Elohim Hashem Jehovah put His words, which as such never came from their own private interpretation, so that man would know.

“Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”
(Jeremiah 1:9–10 KJV)

“Knowing this first, that every prophecy of Scripture becomes not from your* own interpretation. For* no prophecy was ever brought about by the will of man; but the holy men of God spoke the word being carried by the Holy Spirit.”
(2 Peter 1:20β1 MLV)

“whom the heaven must accept until the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all his holy prophets that have been from of old.”
(Acts 3:21 MLV)

All those things what pass in the world even when not forgotten shall be past, but the Word of God is something which shall always stay for ever.

“But the word of the Lord is abiding forever.’ {Is. 40:6-9} And this is the word of the good-news which was proclaimed to you*.”
(1 Peter 1:25 MLV)

The words of the sent ones spoken in the Name of God may or will never pass away.

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words may never* pass away. {Mt 24:36-44 & Mk 13:32-37 & Lk 21:34-36 Second Coming}”
(Matthew 24:35 MLV)

By all those who come to believe shall that Word of God and His sent one is the truth and the life, shall when they practice the will of God be able to find a life forever.

“Because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the egotism of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.”
(1 John 2:16 MLV)

Those who love God should come to read and study His Word, His letters to the world and keep to His Words more than to the words of man.

Reading to grow and to become wise concerning the most important thing in life 3 Light and wisdom in words

To seek wisdom the Holy Scriptures are the best source for getting to know everything man has to know to make the best of his life and to see what is going to happen in this world, so that man can protect himself for the horrible war to come.

Man should know that every writing inspired by the Most High Elohim Hashem Jehovah is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction which is in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work and may find the Way to God and to the small gate of the Kingdom of God.

The order of books in Hebrew, Jewish, Messianic, Catholic and Protestant Bibles may be very different and having some books not included or treated as one or more books, all those writings should bring some insight in the way people lived with or without a relation with the Most High Divine Creator Who has given the ruling of the world out of His Hands.

All people do have the free choice to come to read those many books which are put together, bundled as one library of ‘set apart‘ or ‘holy‘ books. Man should know that those writings are given by the Most High to give them insight and to have them as a warning how to behave and how to prepare for the times to come. The Eternal One has created man wit a plan or having a vision for man. When man choose to go an other way God’s Plan stayed valid and god provided for mankind a solution to have everything restored.

When reading the Scriptures people can come to learn about the Plan of the Master Maker. The reader shall come to see how the Word belongs to the Most Almighty and how He shall have the final Word. But going to look deeper into that Word the reader shall come to understand how this is the Most Important Word for man and how this is the most inspiring and life giving Word. Man shall also be able to compare those who accepted God His Word and how those live who have rejected His Word.

“The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Elohim; and what wisdom is in them?”
(Jeremiah 8:9)

Also those who are against God and have evil in them shall not have the good in them nor the wisdom.

“The lamp of the body is the eye, because if your eye is clear, your whole body will be light. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be dark. Therefore if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! No one is able to serve* two lords; for* either he will hate the one and love* the other; or he will hold to one and despise the other. You* are not able to serve* God and money.”
(Matthew 6:22β4 MLV)

“But evil men and impostors will progress from bad to worse, misleading and being misled. But you abide in the things which you have learned and was entrusted with, having known from whom you have learned them. And that you have known, from a baby, the sacred Scriptures which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for education which is in righteousness,in order that the man of God may be complete, completely equipped *for every good work.”
(2 Timothy 3:13-17 MLV)

“The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?”
(Jeremiah 8:9 KJV)

In all the books of the Bible we can see the weak and stronger points of man so that we can learn from them.

“But God was choosing the foolish things of the world, that* he may shame the wise, and God was choosing the weaknesses of the world, that* he may shame the strong things; and God was choosing the ignoble things of the world and the things that are scorned and the things that are not, in order that he might do-away-with the things that are;”
(1 Corinthians 1:27-28 MLV)

Next to the Books of Nevi’im are there the Kethuvim Aleph in which man can find the maxims or Book Mishlê by Shlomo (Salomon or Solomon/ Sulaymān) also called Jedidiah, the son of David, king of Israel, who is revered in Judaism and Christianity for his wisdom and in Islam as a prophet.

“The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.”
(Proverbs 1:1–6 KJV)

A cabinet containing the five megillot. (Esther is in the wooden case on the left.)
Title page, Midrash Tehillim

The Mishlê and the Shir haShirim or Song of songs, also called Canticle of Canticles, and the Ekah or Lamentations are the parts of the third section of the biblical canon, known as the Ketuvim, or “Writings” which bring sayings of wisdom. In the Hebrew Bible the Song of Solomon stands with Ruth, Êkah or Êykhôh (the book of Lamentations) or Lamentations of Jeremiah, Ecclesiastes, and Estêr (Esther) and with them makes up the Five Megillot or The Five Scrolls (Hamesh Megillot or Chomeish Megillos), five scrolls that are read on various religious festivals of the Jewish year.  (An early testimony that these five scrolls were grouped together is in the Midrash Rabba. This midrash was compiled on the Chumash or Pentateuch and on the Five Megillot or Five Scrolls)

The other scriptural hymn text to give us a clear insight in the Works of God is presented by the Tehillim or book of Psalms, the first book of the Ketuvim. The anthology of individual psalms also brings prayers and songs speaking about the Power of God and showing us how He works in man. The by far most common type of psalm is the lament or bemoaning. Those pleas for help are often ending with an expression of confidence and are still a worthy teaching tool for us today.

Today still needing lots of help, all those writings are of utmost importance to give us insight and advice. with the knowledge the Scriptures do give us we shall not have to fear man and shall know that we can count unto God. In God we may trust and that trust shall be build up and made stronger by the wisdom the reading and studying of the Scriptures give.

“My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.”
(Proverbs 3:21–26 KJV)

How to Read the Bible (sequel 5)

To have words come deeper in you, when you read them a next time, you also for studying the Bible best can make use of handy tools like Bible markers and Bible concordances.

Each individual has to find a way for him or her to make Bible reading work. It might perhaps look easy to start reading the Bible, but what matters is to come to read the whole Bible, and not just some verses taken out of context, what we see happening in many churches. even in protestant churches, where at the beginning of protestantism the focus was on the word of God, lots of protestant churches do not spend much time any more in reading the Bible  and discussing the content of the Bible-reading. In lots of protestant churches we can find pastors (clergymen or priests in charge of a congregation) or vicars quoting lots of verses, but not presenting the whole paragraph and not presenting the whole chapter to their congregation. Taken out of context they often can twist around and make their congregating assembly or congregation or parishioners to believe whatever that pastor and his church wants people to believe.

What we see today is that not many churches make work of saturating their flock with Bible chapters. Lots of churches also do not work at it to give their congregation an idea how everything fits and how everything leads up to Plan of the Master Maker that has to come into fulfilment.

When reading the Bible you always should remember that it are God His Words and His life lessons which He gave to mankind so that we can come to know Him and can come to see what He wants from us and what He wants to do with us and with the world.

When you know that to read a chapter of Scripture aloud would usually take about five minutes of time, you should consider to have your bible reading also with others. When with more than one person to read the Bible each person can take five verses to read out loud. And when the chapter is read you can discus what each of you came to understand from that reading. Together such reading may bring more insight and will encourage all co-operating to continue.

When reading it as a project of studying it as well, you may find it handy to use special Bible markers to mark crucial words. You best draw lines in different and particular colours for certain things. Use one specific colour to underline what the Most High Elohim is saying, an other colour for what rabbi Jeshua is saying, again another colour to indicate places and an other colour to mark the given rules, regulationsdictates or commandments of God. You also may use again an other colour to mark other words and/or concepts.

Bible journaling = reading and studying the Word, letting it lead you to be creative in the ways you memorize and record Scripture

Today in certain evangelical churches Bible Journaling is a hype, but making so many notations and drawings in one bible book may end up in not being able to concentrate any more on the bible text itself, it being blurred by your other personal thoughts and by those of other human beings. Such ‘journaling’ you better keep to a separate note book, which is ideal to accompany you on your quest for Biblical knowledge.

WelcomeToMyJournalingBible
When using fluorescent markers it can well be that the colour goes into the next page and that in the end pages get unreadable

Though if you love drawing in your Bible and want to make many notes you also can find special Bibles with enough space to do so. for this you best look for Wide margins Bibles.

In case you re looking for a Journaling Bible make sure you buy one with enough space to write notes and when there is an extra notes section at the end of each book of the Bible that would be a good asset.

An other very useful tool to do thorough Bible reading and Bible study is making use of a verbal index, to the Bible or Bible concordance. Such a guide book or alphabetical index of all the words in the Biblical text or corpus of texts, shall show every contextual occurrence of a word. Today there are also computer software programs and tablet and smartphone applications where also such index is produced so that by a search or by an alphabetically listing every word in the bible text can be compared with the same word in an other place of Bible book.

There are also bibles on the market which have at the end a small concordance or an alphabetical list of subjects or topics in the bible, which is often much more useful by the daily bible reading, than the list of phrases given in the full concordance. Also the Reference Bibles, translations with in the middle or at the site references to other places in scripture, without adding human notes, are very handy to make sure you shall not get indoctrinated by false teachings. In that instance you shall be able to compare the different quotes with each other and place them in context with the read paragraph and chapter.

A big concordance, like the Strong Exhaustive Concordance, giving the similarity in appearance of members of words and expressions, can bring you to different verses where the same word is used, so that you can come to analyse what the meaning may be. Such work can avoid that you just pick any meaning that suits you, buffet-style. Too many people say that denominations use their own bible because they do not use the same word as others and those “bible translators all changed the words according to their teaching”. When using a concordance you might find reference numbers which makes it possible how the translators went choosing words. As such you shall be able to find that it is often a matter of synonyms.

You always have to remember that God wanted to reach all people, educated as well as uneducated. The Elohim His infallible and inspired Word was given to mankind not in a very difficult to understand language, but written in human language using human vocabulary.

Whatever tool you want to use to help you in Bible reading and Bible study, always remember that it is just a human tool, but that the most power is to find in the bible Words themselves. You always should let the Bible speak. You also should be very careful when you use Study bibles that you do not start taking the added notes as part of the Bible. You always should check if those theologians their notes are in accordance with what is written in the Bible. For example when they say ‘god the son’ and there is written in the Bible text ‘the son of God’, please do accept what is written in the Bible text and do not think ‘god the son’. According the Scriptures there is the son of God but no second or third person in the One and Only True God. Therefore let yourself not been carried away by human doctrines like the Trinity matter.

You also do not need philosophical books to guide you through your bible reading. You should trust the Words of the Scriptures themselves and trust God. They can and shall reveal the truth. You only have to listen to those Words from the Holy Bible and insight and wisdom shall come to you.

May the Adonai, Elohim HasHem Jehovah be with you and give all guidance you need.

A beginning by the 2016 Chanukah celebrations

By the beginning of the 2016 festival of Chanukah presenting a new blog on the net. Looking at mankind and seeing so many religious groups I wonder what their relation might be to the worshipping of the real Creator or Maker of the universe.

On Yom Vav, 23rd Kislev 5777 or in the common calendar 2016, December 23, remembering that the 25th of Kislev, 5541 (1780) and 5560 (1799) were the first Day of Chanukah, the day and the day before Chassidim joyfully celebrate the Rosh Hashanah (“new year”) of Chassidism , with an assemblage addressed by a Rebbe for the farbrengens (Chassidic gatherings) and an increased commitment to the ways and teachings of Chassidism. Tachnun (supplication) and similar prayers are omitted whilst they begin anew the yearly cycle of the daily study of the Tanya, Rabbi Schneur Zalman’s major Chassidic work (as part of the “Chitas” daily study program) with its explanation of Chumash, the first five books of the Torah.

A few hours before we have the Shabbat Mevarchim (“the Shabbat that blesses” the new month) and we come to the eight-day festival of Chanukah lighting at nightfall the first Chanuca candle of the Menorah (seven-branched candelabrum) and the one of the Hanukkah menorah, to start our wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrating the rededication of the Holy Temple, I as a young wanderer, a Benjamin in the darkness of this world, wants to look for more light and spread also myself some light, giving out my hand to those who are also looking to come closer to the Most Almighty Divine Creator of heaven and earth.

Also many Christians may be looking at some light, but lovers of God should question if they are looking for the right light. In this world of darkness lots of pagan activities seem to lure people in for them pleasant festivities and many honoured traditions which for the Creator or not so appreciated. And I think we should do our utmost best to please the Almighty Creator of all things, and therefore should be careful in which activities of the world we would like to become partakers.

Looking at mankind and seeing so many religious groups I wonder what their relation might be to the worshipping of the real Creator or Maker of the universe. Seeing that since the times there came change in the blackness, nothingness and the void the world has not evolved for the good, I wonder how long it still shall take before we might see the Messiah bringing an end to all this ‘shit’.

I am convinced the Maker Himself gave humankind His Word to have them see what is going to happen and to come to know the Plan of This Master Maker. Therefore there is the necessity to come to know that Word of G’d. Wanting to get to know about that marvellous Plan I start my journey with this blog, trying to come to find some clarity in teachings of those who are called the people of that maker, the People of Israel.

Not being a rabbi or rebbe, having respect for those who want to and can teach, I would love to look with you (my readers) what mentors might have to tell. I do hope I shall be able to find some good masters of Torah and shall have enough thoughts to share with them and you to grow up in faith, finding more light in my and your life.

As I look forward to tonight’s commemoration of the miracle of the oil, all the Temple’s oil which was been defiled by the pagan invaders, the Chosen People of G’d having found only one small cruse of ritually pure olive oil and this one-day supply miraculously burning for eight days, until new, pure oil could be obtained, I not only want to recall and publicize that miracle, but want to look at the many miracles the Master Creator and Provider offered to those who were willing to worship Him and Him alone.

I am pleased you have found this site and have read this article. I do hope you will come to visit this site and the other site where I shall present views on Jewish faith. It is not that I shall write very regularly on my own site nor on From Guestwriter, but perhaps and hopefully those little sprinkles shall also be able to shed some more light on Judaic and Christian views and the Way the Elohim wants us to walk

May the Most High Maker bless those who come along this path and guide me to come closer to Him and to bring others also closer to Him.
