Eykhah – How can it be?

For security reasons our country came into lockdown and after some easing measures it looked like we soon could come together. Yet by having again a rise in the infections we shall not be able to gather in one place and as such shall have to fulfil our worship duties at home in private. Let us remember that our liturgy is really about engaging God and therefore it is not bad to take some time to consider how you want to build up your service for God.

A vibrant and inclusive movement within the American Jewish community

All should know that the discrimination and displacement inside Israel's 1948 borders are connected to its rule in those Occupied Territories. This system of violence deprives all Palestinians of civil, political, and economic rights.

A Secret of our Enemy :Inter-Ethnic Fault Lines Among the Jews (Full Article)

The broigus or the non-willingness to talk to the other-one or enemy, has created more non-understanding and ridiculous division instead of co-operation or acceptance of differences. Still today there is perhaps even more exclusion in Judaism and unnecessary isolation and exclusion, instead of getting to know each other more and working together as equals working [...]

Jews of Cuba

The Jews of Cuba “struggled to survive after the revolution,” says Mayra Levy, the president of Havana’s Hebrew Sephardic Center. About 95 percent of Cuba’s Jews — some 15,000 people — left the island in 1959, following Fidel Castro’s revolution against dictator Fulgencio Batista. The Jewish exodus was fueled by Castro’s attacks on capitalism, in which Jews, [...]

God letting us having a look into His Mind

When looking at the ancient writings which form the Kitvei HaKodesh we may notice how the Bore allows us to have a look into His Mind.

Thinking about the happiness by the Torah reading

When the Jew ceases to see beyond the black ink on parchment of the Torah scrolls, when the Jew no longer feels a living covenant and an eternal bond with the infinite; when the Jew finds only curious legends, quaint stories and archaic laws, and dissects the Torah as though it were the frozen cadaver [...]

The way of looking at the Scriptures and the people in this world

At the European continent there are several descendants from saved Jews who either were brought up in another country and in an other religion by their war- or foster families, or could keep their faith but lost the knowledge of Hebrew. We also may find Jews who have found that Jeshua is the long awaited Messiah and are looking for a gathering of like-minded believers. Being myself also a reflection of time and surroundings I introduce here my aims and hopes and give an idea which bible translations I shall be using and which track I would like to be following.

Shortness of kosher meat reason to go for vegetables

With the ban on kosher or halal slaughtering and with the ban of circumcision several politicians in Europe want to have certain religious people to leave these regions, but the real lovers of God do know that the Elohim has provided enough substances to survive and live healthy with vegetables and as such can live in a kosher and healthy way as veggie.

Stolpersteine and necessity of a monument to remember

Even when there may be already so many cities with stolpersteine Antwerp and other Belgian cities do have to have real monuments to remember all victims of Social Nationalism

A House for God in our 21st century

Living in this world we should not be of it, but should be partakers of a Body that wants to be a Group of believers in One God, who want to offer themselves as repentant souls to the Most High and who want to create a place where they can gather and share their dreams in union with God and where all can grow stronger in their faith and become a people that shall be able to go through the big tribulation when it comes.

Not studying an abstract and arcane text of the ancient world

The Divine Creator provided the greatest tool to learn what we should know, to make the best of our life, with His infallible Word, collected in 66 books, whereby 25% of the text is focussing on a Mashiach or Messiah, a Saviour for all mankind. For some people it may look an arcane language of ancient times not useful any more for our contemporary world. The written collection of order, instruction, or guide, issued by an authority much higher than any living being on this earth, may for many be not easily understood, abstruse or obscure, because they just not want to listen to the words like they are written down but prefer to listen to human doctrines which may confuse lots of people and bring a lot of false teachings into the world. The Bible is not at all arcane, requiring secret knowledge to be understood. One does not have to have a degree in theology to come to understand God's Word. To get to understand it and to get wisdom one needs to read it regularly and has to study those words given by the Most High, giving more attention to them than to words of so called theologians who prefer to hold on to human doctrines instead of Biblical doctrines.

Called Immanuel does not mean to be Jesus being God

Often Christians say the proof that Jesus is God is because he is called Immanuel. But if that would be so then we can find God still walking today in different places and sojourning in many families.
