How to Read the Bible (sequel 6) an after thought

When wanting to do a regular bible reading one or more good Bible translations in a strong binding are desired. When reading the Bible we have to allow God’s Word to come to mould us so that we can grow in applying the meaning of Scripture to our lives.

Discovering new insights shall make you so enthusiast you want to share this newly acquired knowledge with many people around you. That act of sharing shall play an important part in the Plan of God. In the Bible is namely indicated that when there shall be witnessed all over the world, in the name of Jehovah, than the end will come and peace shall come to all those who love the Most High Elohim HasHem Jehovah.

We always should remember that “The Bible” should be our main tool in life. That Book of books, the Bestseller of all times, has every right and reason to claim the first place for the most read and the most chosen spiritual literary work.

From the previous articles you could figure out that it is best next to your Bible without any additions, to have a Reference bible, one that gives a listing of similar passages at other places in the Bible. Handy also is to obtain an additional Bible with space for marking, which you can use when going to a meeting or by doing a bible study, whilst you use the Bible-text only version, on occasions where you just read the bible from one passage one day to an other the next day or week.

When going to buy a new bible make sure your Bible has a good cover. The Bible is not a book to read only once. You shall have to read it a multiple times. Having it to go with you at different places in different weather conditions it has to be strong enough. Also for your study Bible, you taking lots of time to go through it, adding some notes yourself, would like to be able to see those notes again some time later. As you invest your time in the word, marking it in special ways, you will be glad the Bible is usable for a long time. A full leather Bible is most useful but a good hard cover also can do. Bonded leather often cracks, and, of course, paperbacks are not usable for long.

When you go out on your trip having regular Bible readings you shall notice that you shall uncover many truths. They’ll surprise you and shall get you in the mood to tell others about it. You shall be surprised how exciting it can be to read the Bible and to discover new insights or to finally understand why a book was written or how it is put together and to what it leads or wants us to point to.

You not only shall come to see that on several occasions the Divine Maker Himself asked His people to share His Message. Also rabbi Jeshua, Jesus Christ, gave his disciples the task to go out in the world and to tell the Good News of the coming Kingdom. They had not to keep the acquired knowledge to themselves. They where asked to share it with others and so must we. You too need to share your insights. When coming to understanding or even when doubting about certain matters you should not hesitate to talk to others about it. Make it a habit to talk about what you have written, like you probably also would talk about a good movie or television program you have seen. It has to become a habit talking about what you have learned from Scriptures. That talking has to become a Witnessing for Jehovah. By telling about His Word to others you may show your love for Him. Such talking about God’s Word or “Witnessing” shall be enable you to encourage many other people while you also shall be growing more.

Please do know that our time here on earth is very short. Man does everything to lengthen life but does not succeed. In the knowledge that we have such a short life after all, we better try to make the best of it. Why should you leave the Best Guide for Life at the site, untouched and unread, when it can give you so much betters in this life?

By taking up the Bible, the Book of books, and opening your heart to the words which are written in it, you shall be able to grow and feel more at ease, not worrying so much and having a hope for better times, given to those who accept the Messiah and love the Most High as the only one to be worshipped.

Man often thinks he can do it on his own. He is mistaken. All people need their Creator. Even when they are not interested in Him, it is He Who allows them to be here and to make the right choices in their life. The Divine Creator gives everybody the opportunity to come back to Him and to come to live in a restored relationship with Him. By the willingness to listen to His Voice God shall guide you through this life, in good and in bad times, when you are feeling swell and when you are feeling bad. Always He is prepare dot listen to you and to guide you. One way of communication is His Word in the Bible. You must consider it as His letters to you. When you love God you will love to read His letters and would not mind to read them over and over again. Being a lover of God and being a believer is serious business; you need a guide like the Bible.

When we read a newspaper, magazine or book, we want to know what an author intended us to see and experience in his writing. Like any worldly author has an intention, the Most High Almighty God also had an intention when He let His chosen men write down His Words. God can not be seen by man, but He made sure man could be fully aware of His presence and His Power, the Pneuma or Spirit. We should know that the God of Order does not tell lies and is not inconsistent. When we think there are contradictions in scripture we best take a closer look. The aim of the biblical writers is to bring God’s Word close to us so that it can transform us. By reading and studying the Bible we should not only come to “know,” but shall have to take action and come to “be” and to “do.”

By letting the Power of God, the set apart pneuma or Holy Spirit, to guide and mould you, you shall find better ways to build up your life and to guide others around you.  God intends you to use His words in your life. There is no reason to think you cannot do this. Once you begin on a more serious approach to Scripture, you shall find that you become fuelled to reach your goal and the goal where your Creator wants you to be.

At a certain moment your Bible reading will bring you to a turning point. You will mark that day as a major turning point of your personal history. Who knows what God will do through a person like you if you will just fill your mind with the word of God?

Best to read and study the Bible

in this world where not many are interested in God it is better that we make sure more people come to know that it is best to get to know what is written in those very old writings which form the Bible.

When wondering how everything came into being and why we live and for what purpose, we best take up the Bible to read and study it.

For that reason you shall be able to find several passages of the Sacred Scriptures or Bible being quoted. It is that word that you should take at heart. It are the words of the Bible you should consider as the infallible Word of God which man should follow. It is not the human words or additional notes in several Bible publications or translations that we should consider as part of the Bible and words to follow without doubting them or without examining them. Everything what is said by a human being, and as such also by me, you should compare to what is written black on white in the Holy Scriptures.

You may count on it that the God of Order wanted to give His Word to mankind in a clear and orderly way. Each phrase in the Book of books can speak for its own and not necessarily needs some explanation by a theologian. When you let the Words of the Bible come to you and are willing to think about them, it shall be God Who is prepared to Guide you and to give you the necessary insight at the right moment in time. You only  have to be patient and count on Him.

The bible is a Book of Life. It has all the treasures and knowledge in it that man does have to know. By reading it regularly and by thinking on what is written in it, you shall be able to get more knowledge and by coming to know the Most High Divine creator of all things better.

If you want to go somewhere with your car, you need fuel. it is the same for your life. If you want to go somewhere, reach some goal, you need enough fuel, the right good energy, the necessary food, otherwise you shall not be able to reach your goal.

To go somewhere you shall need time. To get the right food you shall also need the time to eat it and absorb everything. Going through life we should be aware of it and should place ourselves in the whole matter. It’s important that we take time to reflect upon what happens in this world and how we are fitting in it.

We should come to see the importance of our position in what is happening. We should come to see how things may happen to us and should come to see what or Who is behind everything we can come aware.

In the very old writings, continually reproduced, our present day world also received the Guide Book for all people. It is there for every one to find. But we not only have to see it. We need to read it and we need to think about what is written in it. It is not just a fancy story. It is serious matter which should make us aware of what our purpose is in this world and of what is going to happen in this world. It tells about the past but also about the future. By knowing what is written in it we shall be able to know what happened to this world, why it happened, and what is still going to happen.

When looking at our life and investigating why we are here and what we have to do we best can use a roadmap or comprehensive Guide. At this site I will look at the Best Guide we may find in this world. In future I shall not only look at it and discuss some parts of it. I want to share that infallible Word of God with all those who come along this way.

In future you may find:

  2. bible-study-book-1156001_1280The Category “Studying the Bible” looks at the Book of books and how we can relate to them. Under that heading you  shall be able to find articles which look into the way how we can study the set apart or Holy Scriptures.
  3. german-bibles-on-shelf-104791_1280The Tag “Bible = Book of books“: where I shall look at the different works of different writers the Almighty had chosen to write down His Words. All matters about those books can be found under this label.
  4. bible-study-bible-love-god-1089968_1280The Tag “Words of the Bible” takes a closer look at sayings or important elements from the Holy Scriptures. Under this label you shall be able to find a list of articles which bring the Words of God and writings of the prophets and the by God chosen writers into the foot-light or under attention.
  5. Torah readingYou shall also be able to find a tag “Reading the Holy Scriptures“. Under this label you can find articles where the matter of reading the Tanakh (Tenakh, Tenak, Tanach) or Mikra or Hebrew Bible [Torah, Nevim (Prophets) and Kethuvim Aleph or First writings] or Old Testament and  the  Messianic Scriptures or New Testament [Kethuvim Bet with the Gospels, the acts of the apostles, the letters of the apostles (or epistles) and the Revelation of the apostle John] shall be discussed.

Called Immanuel does not mean to be Jesus being God

Often Christians say the proof that Jesus is God is because he is called Immanuel. But if that would be so then we can find God still walking today in different places and sojourning in many families.

The world has known many people with the name Immanuel. Lots of Christians say because Jesus was called Immanuel he had to be God. This would mean that even today this god would be walking on this globe in many countries, because everywhere in the world you shall be able to find people who are called Immanuel or Emmanuel.

People with such name may be born in a family of believers in God, be it Jews, Christians or Muslims. With using the Hebrew name עִמָּנוּאֵל (‘Immanu’el) meaning “God is with us” or “God with us”, those parents probably wanted to show their gratitude to the Eternal Most Divine Almighty Creator God Who has blessed them with a child. Normally you should consider Immanuel to be a title and not as such a name.

Christ Emmanuel, icon with riza by Simon Ushak...
Christ Emmanuel, icon with riza by Simon Ushakov, 1668. According to the Gospel of Matthew, Immanuel refers to Jesus. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Emmanuel meaning “God with us” brings us to look at the one born, Jeshua in this instance to be a bringer of closeness with the Most High.  In this way for humankind Jesus was “God with us”, about whom many may sing glorious songs, shouting he is the “King of Kings”, “Almighty God”, “Wonderful Counselor”, etc. — all of which are titles, not names. We say “Mr. President”, “Mr. Speaker“, “Your Honor”, etc., but these are titles, not names, and as such Jeshua had as one of his titles “Immanuel”. Throughout the ages this title for Jesus and other biblical figures was also used as a name.

In Anglo-Saxon countries the name Immanuel or Emmanuel  is not so much used, but is quite common in continental Europe, especially in Belgium, France (in the spellings Emmanuel, Emanuel, Manuel and Manu  + for girls Manoe and Manou) , Spain and Portugal (in the spellings Manuel and Manoel). Americans so often refer to the proof that Jesus is God because he is called god and Immanuel. They do seem to forget that much more beings are called god and/or Immanuel.

I can assure you that though that I might be called Immanuel, I am not Jesus nor God or a god. I am way of being a god, but Jesus may have been a god and is still today for many a god, but that does not make him to be the Almighty God יהוה {Jehovah}. Also Jesus his name is far from what many call him today, because his name was Jeshua יֵשׁוּעַ (Yeshu’a). Yeshu’a is itself being a contracted form of Yehoshu’a  or Joshua). Yeshua ben Yoseph, better known as Jesus Christ, was the central figure of the New Testament and the source of the Christian religion. The same as the many people being called Jesus, Jezus, יֵשׁוּ = Jesu or Yeshu, Chesu, or יֵשׁוּע or Yeshu’, they nor Jesus are יהוה = Jehovah or Yehowah/Yehovah (sometimes also spelled Yahuwah) the Only One Whose Holy or Set Apart Name is for the Hebrew God, represented in Hebrew by the tetragrammaton (“four letters”) יהוה (Yod Heh Vav Heh), which was transliterated into Roman script as Y H W H.  Because it was considered blasphemous to utter the name of God, it was only written and never spoken, which resulted in the original pronunciation becoming lost. Today there are still many Jews who even do not write the titles of God fully and therefore write G’d. G’d His Name may have originally been derived from the old Semitic root הוה (hawah) meaning “to be” or “to become”.  The One Who was and always has been “The I Am Who I am” is “The I Am Who Is‘ but has nothing human.

14     God said to Moshe:
EHYEH ASHER EHYEH/I will be-there howsoever I will be-there.
And he said:
Thus shall you say to the Children of Israel:
EHYEH/I-WILL-BE-THERE sends me to you.

Lots of Christians seem to forget that in their Bible or Holy Scriptures is also written that no man can see That  “I am that which I am” without staying alive. Many saw Jesus and continued living, there even having been people who were already death and came to life again by Jesus calling them. This is in contradiction to the Bible saying in the Shemoth or Book Exodus

19     He said:
I myself will cause all my Goodliness to pass
in front of your face,
I will call out the name of YHWH
before your face:
that I show-favor to whom I show-favor,
that I show-mercy to whom I show-mercy.
20     But he said:
You cannot see my face,
for no human can see me and live!
John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has described him.

1John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love* one another, God is abiding in us and his love* is perfected in us.

The majority of Christians also say that their god is born on the 25th of December. First of all God has never had a birth. The Elohim Hashem Jehovah is the Eternal Divine Creator who has never had a beginning or birth nor ever can die, having no ending. Jesus the Immanuel, many Christians celebrate his birth at Christmas (25 December) was born the 17th of October 4 BCE, and as such has a beginning. He also was tempted more than once, whilst the God of gods cannot be tempted.

James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God, for* God is not tempted by evils and he himself tempts no one.

Their Jesus, for which they take the prophet and master teacher, rabbi Jeshua, was also sentenced to death (according to the prophesies in the Torah) and after doing God’s Will (and not his own will, which he would have done when he is God) really died at the wooden stake after he himself had cried to God and had asked Him (Jehovah God) why He (God) had abandoned him (Jesus).

Deut. 21:22       Now when a man has sin-guilt, (resulting in) a sentence of death,
and is put-to-death,
and you hang him up on a wooden-stake,

Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers lifted up Jesus, whom you* slew, hanging him on a tree.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’ {Ps. 22:1} 47 And some of them were standing there, when they heard it, said, This man is summoning Elijah. 48 And immediately one out of them ran, taking a sponge and filled it with vinegar and placed it around a reed and gave it to him to drink. 49 And the rest said, Allow it, that we may see if Elijah comes to save him. 50 And Jesus having cried again with a loud voice, his spirit leaves. 51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was split apart into two pieces, from the top to the bottom, and the earth shook, and the rocks were split apart; 52 and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the holy-ones who had fallen-asleep arose. 53 And coming forth out of the tombs after his awakening they entered into the holy city and appeared to many. 54 Now the centurion and those who were with him, guarding Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that happened, were extremely afraid, saying, This truly was the Son of God.

10 For* the death that he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life that he is living, he is living to God.

It is totally wrong to assume the one being called Immanuel to be an incarnation of the God of power Who

“did ride in His majestic robes of glory, resolved to light; and so one day He did descend, undressing all the way.”(George Herbert).

christmas-cribfigures1010749_640Christians should know that their celebration on the 24th and 25th of December, being called Christmas, has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus nor with the birth of God or with God having restrained His omnipotence within the frailty of human flesh. God never confined His omniscience, Him knowing everything, within the limitations of human thought, and never did He contain His omnipresence, being able to be everywhere at the same time, within the body of one human – Jesus of Nazareth.

God also never came to the earth to become a servant instead of One who is served.  It might well be that Jesus was born to be a king, willing to be treated as a slave, because when Jesus is the Messiah then he shall be the King of kings here on earth to govern the Kingdom of his heavenly Father, but when he lived in the Middle East some two millennia ago he was an ordinary carpenter and an incredible story teller who was able to do incredible wonders or miracles.

Lots of people may try to humiliate God, but man should know that man can do nothing to God. He is the Ruler and the Omnipotent Supreme One and Only Creator and Governor of all the Universe.

All christians should also remember that it is the Most High Divine Creator Who, in the Garden of Eden made His first promise to send a solution against the curse of death. The Same God further promised to Abraham and his offspring that out of the lineage of King David would come that King of kings for a set apart or Holy Land.

In case Jesus is really the promised one from God, then he is the greatest gift mankind received with him because by god accepting his offering like a lamb, he whitewashed with his blood (something god does not have) our sins. can give to Jesus is a life lived above the common. His giving himself in the hands of his God, doing not his own will but that of his heavenly Father, he made man righteous again, in the eyes of the God of Abraham, so that all, by his death, might live.

The world has to know that the Divine Creator wants all people to unite and to recognise the Messiah, getting to be like him all of one mind, having compassion one of another. This oneness of mind does not demand the monotony of similarity, but unity in variety. We shall never be of one mind in the sense of all holding the same opinions; but we may be all of one mind when, beneath diversities of opinion, expression, and view, we are animated by a common devotion to Christ.

No man can have the mind of Christ who has not the courage to have the eyes of Christ. He rejected the traditions of men and saw things for himself. We too have to reject the human traditions and have to put our own selfish will away, like Jesus did. We too should be careful not to participate in pagan traditions, like Christmas and Easter.

Christians may anticipate the happy day when the whole world shall be converted to Christ; but then the gods of the heathen shall have to be cast to the moles and the bats;

when Romanism shall be exploded, and the crescent of Mohammed shall wane, never again to cast its baleful rays upon the nations; when kings shall bow down before the Prince of Peace, and all nations shall call their Redeemer blessed.

Some despair of this. They look upon the world as a vessel breaking up and going to pieces, never to float again. We know that the world and all that is therein is one day shall be confronted with an enormous battle (World War III or Armageddon). Before those end-times all lovers of God should know that it is time to unite and to remember the Divine call,

Psalm 50:5-6: 5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. 6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

Real lovers of God have to worship only One True God and strive to be simple and sincere toward all, seeking not to please and honour the self, but the Most All-Mighty God of gods, doing away with everything that is not according to the Wishes of God.

A beginning by the 2016 Chanukah celebrations

By the beginning of the 2016 festival of Chanukah presenting a new blog on the net. Looking at mankind and seeing so many religious groups I wonder what their relation might be to the worshipping of the real Creator or Maker of the universe.

On Yom Vav, 23rd Kislev 5777 or in the common calendar 2016, December 23, remembering that the 25th of Kislev, 5541 (1780) and 5560 (1799) were the first Day of Chanukah, the day and the day before Chassidim joyfully celebrate the Rosh Hashanah (“new year”) of Chassidism , with an assemblage addressed by a Rebbe for the farbrengens (Chassidic gatherings) and an increased commitment to the ways and teachings of Chassidism. Tachnun (supplication) and similar prayers are omitted whilst they begin anew the yearly cycle of the daily study of the Tanya, Rabbi Schneur Zalman’s major Chassidic work (as part of the “Chitas” daily study program) with its explanation of Chumash, the first five books of the Torah.

A few hours before we have the Shabbat Mevarchim (“the Shabbat that blesses” the new month) and we come to the eight-day festival of Chanukah lighting at nightfall the first Chanuca candle of the Menorah (seven-branched candelabrum) and the one of the Hanukkah menorah, to start our wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrating the rededication of the Holy Temple, I as a young wanderer, a Benjamin in the darkness of this world, wants to look for more light and spread also myself some light, giving out my hand to those who are also looking to come closer to the Most Almighty Divine Creator of heaven and earth.

Also many Christians may be looking at some light, but lovers of God should question if they are looking for the right light. In this world of darkness lots of pagan activities seem to lure people in for them pleasant festivities and many honoured traditions which for the Creator or not so appreciated. And I think we should do our utmost best to please the Almighty Creator of all things, and therefore should be careful in which activities of the world we would like to become partakers.

Looking at mankind and seeing so many religious groups I wonder what their relation might be to the worshipping of the real Creator or Maker of the universe. Seeing that since the times there came change in the blackness, nothingness and the void the world has not evolved for the good, I wonder how long it still shall take before we might see the Messiah bringing an end to all this ‘shit’.

I am convinced the Maker Himself gave humankind His Word to have them see what is going to happen and to come to know the Plan of This Master Maker. Therefore there is the necessity to come to know that Word of G’d. Wanting to get to know about that marvellous Plan I start my journey with this blog, trying to come to find some clarity in teachings of those who are called the people of that maker, the People of Israel.

Not being a rabbi or rebbe, having respect for those who want to and can teach, I would love to look with you (my readers) what mentors might have to tell. I do hope I shall be able to find some good masters of Torah and shall have enough thoughts to share with them and you to grow up in faith, finding more light in my and your life.

As I look forward to tonight’s commemoration of the miracle of the oil, all the Temple’s oil which was been defiled by the pagan invaders, the Chosen People of G’d having found only one small cruse of ritually pure olive oil and this one-day supply miraculously burning for eight days, until new, pure oil could be obtained, I not only want to recall and publicize that miracle, but want to look at the many miracles the Master Creator and Provider offered to those who were willing to worship Him and Him alone.

I am pleased you have found this site and have read this article. I do hope you will come to visit this site and the other site where I shall present views on Jewish faith. It is not that I shall write very regularly on my own site nor on From Guestwriter, but perhaps and hopefully those little sprinkles shall also be able to shed some more light on Judaic and Christian views and the Way the Elohim wants us to walk

May the Most High Maker bless those who come along this path and guide me to come closer to Him and to bring others also closer to Him.

First blog post

Opening of a blog by a wandering boy looking for the truth about the Most High Divine Creator.

שָׁלוֹם

Shalom,

this is my very first post. This post may be just to tell readers that one of G’d’s children wanted to share His Message on the net and show the world the importance of the Most High Divine Creator.

I want to bring a message of peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquillity and created this site and my profile to be able to react to writings on WordPress. On here you might perhaps not find many articles, because I shall mostly use my time to react to some blogs from others and hope to add some views on the Jewish faith  on the site From Guestwriters (where you shall be able to find me more regularly).
